The 5m Addressable Color Chasing RGB COB LED Strip Light is a high-density indoor tape light that uses chip-on-board LEDs to produce a continuous, hotspot-free line of RGB color. WS2811 ICs address each 36-LED segment (20 pixels/m) so a required strip controller (sold separately) can run solid colors or color-chasing sequences. At 219 LEDs/ft (720 LEDs/m), the 10 mm, 24 VDC strip is suited to cove, under-cabinet, and display installs on or around reflective surfaces. Cut every 1.97 in. (50 mm) and mount with the 3M™ adhesive backing. Class 2 max run is 16.4 ft (5 m).

COB
COB (Chip-on-Board) LEDs integrate multiple LED chips onto a single module, offering higher brightness and better light distribution in larger lighting installations. This design makes them excellent for high-output applications. Typically, they also have a higher density, producing a "line of light" illumination, making them ideal for lighting reflective surfaces like polished countertops or glass retail displays.
RGB Addressable
RGB Addressable LEDs allow for custom control of individual LEDs or segments, allowing for a more expansive range of solid colors and color-changing modes than standard RGB lights.
Addressable LEDs are controlled via a digital signal that specifies the color and brightness of each LED. While they can be controlled by various microcontrollers, using specific libraries simplifies the process, and sometimes dedicated controllers are used for more complex applications.

Beam angle is used to express the angular dimension of light emitted from its source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light. Comparing two lights with the same lumen output, one with a 30° beam angle and another with a 90° beam angle, the 30° will appear brighter compared to the 90°, while the 90° will illuminate a larger area. Lights with a symmetrical output may have a beam angle expressed with a single value (e.g. W 120° x H 120° will be shown as 120°). Bulbs will typically have a single value expressing the outward beam angle projected at 360° (e.g. 120° is actually 360° x 120°).

The Max Run of an LED strip is dependent on two things, voltage and density. 24 volt strips in most instances will give you a longer run than a 12 volt strip. However the LED density of the strip will have an effect on the maximum run. If your install needs to extend beyond a strips Max Run additional power feeds can be run back to your power supply.   |
