Flat Panel Lights
Applications for LED Flat Panel Lights
LED panel lighting is a versatile lighting solution known for its sleek design, efficient illumination, and energy-saving properties for commercial spaces such as offices, retail stores, schools, bathrooms, and more.
Below are some of the most common applications for these lights:
- Commercial Offices
- Educational Institutions
- Healthcare Facilities
- Residential Spaces
- Industrial Settings
- Hospitality Industry
- Retail Stores
- Conference Rooms
- Corridors and Hallways

Edge-Lit vs. Back-Lit LED Panels
Edge-lit and back-lit light panels look similar to the average person; however, they are designed differently. The primary difference is the placement of the LEDs. As the names suggest, edge-lit panels have LEDs around the perimeter of the fixture. Back-lit panels have LEDs positioned on the back of the fixture, and there is no light guide in back-lit panels. Additionally, in back-lit panels, the driver is more integrated into the fixture’s frame for a lower profile.

LED Edge-Lit Panel
Edge-it panels have LEDs along the inside edges of the fixture, directing light towards the diffuser lens and guide panel.

LED Back-Lit Panel
In back-lit panels, LEDs are mounted on the fixture back, providing uniform illumination through the diffuser lens.
Grid Frame Lights
Grid frame lights are an alternative to traditional panel lights. They feature a unique design that illuminates the perimeter of ceiling panels, providing a sleek, edge-lit appearance. These fixtures are compatible with standard drop ceilings and deliver efficient lighting, equivalent to three 17W T8 tubes. Our grid lights feature field-selectable wattage and adjustable CCT options via built-in switches on the junction box. They are ideal for modernizing lighting in basements, offices, schools, or retail spaces.

Panel Light CCT Options
- Single CCT LED panel lights provide a fixed color temperature, which is ideal for spaces needing consistent lighting, such as offices or retail stores. They are easy to install and cost-effective, offering a stable light quality without needing adjustments.
- Selectable CCT panels allow users to choose between preset color temperatures, making them versatile for multi-purpose spaces like conference rooms or schools. This option provides the flexibility to adapt the lighting to different tasks or preferences.
- Tunable CCT panels offer full control over the color temperature range, from warm to cool, using a dimmer or smart control system. Perfect for dynamic environments, they support circadian lighting and can be adjusted in real time to suit changing needs.
Choosing the Right Dimming Option for LED Panels
When selecting LED panel lights, understanding the available dimming options is essential for achieving the desired lighting environment. The choice of dimming option depends on the specific requirements of the application:
- 0-10V Dimming is best suited for large-scale commercial installations where precise control and integration with existing building management systems are required. 0-10V dimming provides continuous and flicker-free dimming, ideal for applications where precise light level control is needed. 0-10V works well with compatible dimmer switches and control systems, often used in commercial settings such as offices, schools, and retail spaces.
- Remote-controlled dimming allows users to control lighting from anywhere within the range of the remote or app, making them ideal for large spaces or hard-to-reach installations where hardwired controls are not feasible. Simple setup and user-friendly controls make this an accessible option. Some remote controls use PWM dimming for fine control over light intensity without flicker.
By selecting the appropriate dimming option, users can enhance the functionality and energy efficiency of their LED panel lights while creating the desired ambiance in any space.

Comparable Wattage: Fluorescent vs. LED Panels
