Overview
This 60W LED Vapor Tight Light has a robust, sealed housing that blocks water, dust, and other contaminants. Built with a corrosion- and impact-resistant aluminum body with polycarbonate end caps and lens, the fixture is sealed preventing dust and moisture intrusion. Each tri-proof light comes with four strain reliefs for wiring in series and dimming. Each fixture delivers 7,500 lumens of energy-efficient lighting equivalent to a fixture using four 32W T8 tubes. Perfect for industrial kitchens, warehouses, and parking garages.
When choosing which Vapor Tight/Tri-Proof LED strip light to purchase, the right choice depends on site conditions, cleaning method, water exposure, dust, corrosion risk, ambient temperature, impact requirements, and lighting controls. In order for certain products within controlled categories, such as electrical and electronic devices, to be legally sold in the European Economic Area, they must bear a CE label, which stands for Conformité Européenne (European Conformity). Products with this label meet environmental, health, and safety standards put into place by European legislation.
The DesignLights Consortium® (DLC®) partners with energy-efficiency groups and utility companies to establish a set of standards for commercial LED light fixtures. The product is tested and must meet quality, energy-efficiency, and performance requirements to be added to the DLC's Qualified Products List. For more information, click here. A product that bears an ETL-Certified label has been evaluated by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and meets national product safety standards. An ETL certification is accepted in the U.S. and in Canada.
Products with a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) label meet all requirements and rules set forth by the FCC and won't cause interference with other electronic devices. According to FCC's website, "The Federal Communications Commission regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories." Products that generate radio frequency (RF) energy, such as RF remote controls and certain LED light bulbs, are tested to ensure that they are within the FCC's guidelines and limits and do not cause harmful interference.

Beam Angle
Beam Angle
Beam angle is used to express the angular dimension of light emitted from its source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light. Comparing two lights with the same lumen output, one with a 30° beam angle and another with a 90° beam angle, the 30° will appear brighter compared to the 90°, while the 90° will illuminate a larger area. Lights with a symmetrical output may have a beam angle expressed with a single value (e.g. W 120° x H 120° will be shown as 120°). Bulbs will typically have a single value expressing the outward beam angle projected at 360° (e.g. 120° is actually 360° x 120°).

Certifications/Compliance
Certifications/Compliance
Standards and certifications comprise a vast number of companies and compliances that serve specific purposes—primarily addressing safety, environmental impact and energy efficiency, and sanitation. They are divided into categories for each product type and certification type to allow for very specific qualifications related to each product. When this system is being used as intended, it gives consumers, installers, suppliers, and anyone else that may be involved confidence that the product is safe and will work well in their application. The most common UL and ETL certifications relate to safety and installation, although they do also provide some sanitation-related certifications (using NSF standards). Another common certification body is the DLC, which specializes in certifying the performance of a light—mainly related to environmental impact and electrical efficiency. Current Draw
Current Draw
Current draw is calculated using the following formula: W/V = A, where W = the amount of power your light needs (wattage), V is the electrical system voltage (e.g., 120V AC), and A = amps. An ampere or amp (A) is the standard unit for electrical current. A milliamp (mA) equals one-thousandth of an amp, or 1000 mA is equivalent to 1 A.
Choosing LED fixtures with the correct amperage ensures safe and proper operation, preventing damage or injury. We recommend having all electrical components and fixtures installed by a certified professional electrician or lighting technician in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. |

Suitable for Dry Locations This marking indicates that you can use the light or component in a location not normally subject to dampness. This may include locations exposed to temporary dampness, such as a building under construction, provided that ventilation is adequate to prevent moisture accumulation. Use these fixtures in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, hallways, and similar areas. The marking may be "SUITABLE FOR DAMP LOCATIONS" or "DRY LOCATIONS ONLY."Suitable for Damp Locations Fixtures marked “SUITABLE FOR DAMP LOCATIONS” or “SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS” can be installed in damp locations. A damp location is an exterior or interior location regularly or occasionally subject to moisture condensation on or around electrical equipment. It includes partially protected places such as covered patios and porches. Damp locations include any regularly muggy or humid area, such as above a kitchen sink or stove, and appropriately vented bathrooms near the tub or shower.Suitable for Wet Locations Fixtures and components marked "SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS" can be installed in wet or damp locations. A wet location is anywhere water or other liquids may drip, splash, or flow on or against electrical equipment. A light marked "SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS" may have additional markings that tell where and at what height it can be safely mounted. Uncovered outdoor areas like decks, gazebos, walls, and typical landscape lighting sites all fall under the heading of wet locations. |
