Overview
The 5m COB LED Strip Light from the Even-Glow® Series utilizes chip-on-board technology to produce a continuous line of single-color light. This strip light features a high density of LEDs, resulting in a uniform and intense light with no visible dots or hot spots. The low-profile design is ideal for narrow spaces, such as backlighting and displays, and works well on reflective surfaces like granite countertops and tile floors. The strip’s enhanced flexibility allows for installation along edges and curved surfaces without requiring additional diffusers. An IP65-rated version is also available for outdoor use.

COB
COB (Chip-on-Board) LEDs integrate multiple LED chips onto a single module, offering higher brightness and better light distribution in larger lighting installations. This design makes them excellent for high-output applications. Typically, they also have a higher density, producing a "line of light" illumination, making them ideal for lighting reflective surfaces like polished countertops or glass retail displays.

LED Beam Angle
Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.

The Max Run of an LED strip is dependent on two things, voltage and density. 24 volt strips in most instances will give you a longer run than a 12 volt strip. However the LED density of the strip will have an effect on the maximum run.
