Title 24 encompasses regulations for energy conservation, green design, construction, maintenance, fire and life safety, and accessibility in both residential and non-residential buildings across California, covering structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Implemented on January 1, 2017, these Building Energy Efficiency Standards include the Joint Appendix Section 8 (JA8) requirements for residential buildings, which are akin to Title 20 requirements, featuring L/W prerequisites.
